We all have that one friend that we can rely on to take charge and lookout for everyone. When the club gets too lit, there needs to be a designated stoner to keep the heat down. Designated stoners don’t always join in on the fun. However, when designated stoners decide to join in on club activities, they are usually able to handle their herbs well. Designated stoners have good self control and can cut themselves off if they need to maintain good judgement for the rest of the group. The designated stoner keeps a level head to know whats going on at all times. You can always tell when you're around a responsible stoner by their concern for everyone in the group, and their attention to surroundings.
How To Know A Designated Stoner:
Have good self control
Handle herbs well
Reliable member of the group
Looks out for the safety of others
Naturally very calm and composed "calm as a cucumber"
The one that makes sure everyone gets home safe. (Will either agree to pick everyone up when called, or stay on location sober, or order Uber/ Lyft.)
The one that is always prepared
The one to plan the evening activities
Able to resist temptation
Ensure members of the group don’t lose their valuables
Designated Stoners are the caregivers of the group. When the club gets crazy, the designated stoner has to take the role of a nanny and become the parent of the group. Babysitting the elevated members of the group, become the main duty of designated stoners. After consumption of some good herbs, members can be a little difficult to handle. The designated stoner doesn’t have an easy job, but takes care of the group by keeping everyone out of trouble and looking out for the safety of members.
Tips For Designated Stoners:
Try not to get frustrated when helping other stoners, it will only make the experience unpleasant.
Eat a large meal ahead of time, so you are full and not easily tempted to consume anything else.
Plan the group activities before members get lifted.
If you have a difficult group of stoners to take care of, make sure to set ground rules. As the designated stoner you're the one in charge. (If you're driving, you choose the songs and the destination)
Don't get zooted!! Avoid getting lifted to stay alert for the rest of the group.
Learn to be the "Mom" of the group.
Don't get embarrassed when club members do crazy things. Its all part of the experience, you'll all look back one day and laugh about it.
What would we ever do without a designated stoner? The designated stoner tends to be the most trusted member of the group. They make sure we don’t lose our valuables and ensure we don’t get lost as well. When needed, the reliable member of the group will either agree to come and pick everyone up when called, or stay on location and avoid getting too lifted. If the designated stoner gets too carried away and isn’t able to handle the responsibility of everyone’s safety, then they will opt for more practical solutions such as an Uber/Lyft or taxi. Once stoners begin to rely on the dependable member of the group to take on these duties, that member becomes the designated stoner, and assumes the role of the ”Head Stoner” of the group.
